I haven't seen any of it and never plan to unless I somehow get stuck going passed it. I have never liked all the hoopla pertaining to sports even before this and this just adds more nonsense. Yes, I'm in the minority, so just ignore me when I spout off.

$350 mil in taxpayer money for that thing yet many of these same people would tell you healthcare is socialism. Got to love the Texas mentality.

I saw some shots from the game last nite during the second half. Looked like it was about half full, or half empty. Maybe a rerun, don't really know.

No kidding! I'm ready for the Oilers, please....sans Bud Adams. I am happy we have a football team here in Houston, but the Oilers will always be #1 in my heart!

Do you think any taxpayer actually had a choice?

I'm willing to bet, anyway, most folks anywhere would rather watch a football game than stand in line at a government office.

Largest city in the US without any public transportation either.

But as a non-Arlington resident I watched the Mexico-Haiti soccer match and it is a fantastic venue.

Not really rich people like Jones spend tens of millions to buy out newspapers and run tv ads telling the public why he should be able to steal from them. He pays people to petition for him to get himself a referendum. Theres opposition but it takes time to coalesce and it certainly isnt as well funded as Jones.
So the taxpayer the victim of a massive, well funded, targetted propaganda campaign, votes against his best interests and basically allows himself to get robbed by a billionare.
Theres outrage at a woman working full time getting help with healthcare in Texas but allow someone to steal $350 million from average citizens to build some private property and theres crickets. Unbelieveable to me frankly.
