Wow, that brings back memories...I worked down in Tx City for a while, and got an apartment on Galveston. It is a great place to hang out for a while, but I am not sure I could evey live there (and I know my wife wouldn't
).
Did you get back into any of the older neighborhoods where the old houses are? I really like some of those areas, too. I brought my bike and wheeled all around on the weekends and in the evenings.

No, Was in Galveston with the family and we only went to the Beach and walked down the Strand.

If you want a good pub (and there are many of them in Galveston), try out O' Mally's. There is this retired Aussie that lives down the street from there, and he has apparently been showing up there pretty much nightly for over 20 years now. He and a few others always 'play' wheel of fortune along with the TV. For the younger crowd, Molly's is the same owner, but geared for he college crowd.
Galveston is just a photo-op waiting to happen...almost every street and block is photogenic in some way. Personally, I think 07055 is really nice

Haha, when I see something different or interesting, I'll take a picture.
That particular shot was definately interesting.
Also, these were taken from Galveston beach, not in the RGV.
