Am I the only one who finds the Trammel Crow Center (Dallas) and the Wells Fargo Plaza (Houston) to be underrated buildings?

considering i had to google Trammel Crow Center, yes.. your probably right. though Wells Fargo gets respect due to its height. TCC looks an awfully lot like a midget version of Williams Tower.

TCC may get overlooked because of it's subtle lighting compared to it's surrounding bright neighbors.

Yes that tower is overlooked a lot because of the shiny buildings around it. However, it's definitely one of the more appealing buildings in downtown Dallas.

TC looks as if it belongs in Atlanta or Philly.

Agreed, if it was just 100 ft taller it would be even better.

Yes, because of the pyramid and the spire. I wish we had more of those type of buildings.

Trammel Crow Center old lighting scheme

Originally, the building had 4 enormous corner spots that shot a mile into the sky. They were later turned off in the 1990s.

Chase tried to accomplish the same thing with blue LED's & they don't even go halfway up the sides of the building. They don't reflect well off the brown facade.
