Killeen has gotten better, but if I had of read the post about it being hard to find a job I would've never moved here I had a good job and my own apartment and now I have no job and is staying with my sister.

Was excited about moving to Killeen next week and now that I read all this violence and such I am really worried
I just accepted a teaching job at a high school
Was gonna send a flat in a duplex in church av....will I be in danger? Should I cancel and look else where?
Please guide me 

It all depends what your experience is, Killeen has a highly transiant population due to the military base, teaching high school there will certainly be a challenge. But you are likely to be relatively safe, especially if you have any street smarts. Can't speak to any specific location.

It's generally accepted that Harker Heights and Copperas Cove are better places to live than in Killeen.

I grew up in Killeen until I left for college in 1992. I haven’t been there in a very long time, but if you’re going to be on Church near Rancier, I’d find another place. Things may have changed and it could be better, but I’d double check. Maybe stay at a hotel and check the area before committing to an apartment.

I visit my family in Killeen at least once a year and I've never experienced a problem with crime. Unless it used to be really bad and has recently improved.
