Default need telecom job in TOLEDO

wife is from toledo and I have caused her to be away from her family for approx. 11 yrs now. I have been and still am a contract engineer for at&t for the last 10 yrs. I do have my contract company looking for me as we speak, but they may not have any luck directly with at&t. my wife and i would like desperatley to get there and i would rather not leave without employment especially when i currently have a job. I am very experienced in just about anything when it comes to engineering and designing the placement of telecommunication infrastructure. I have a resume and various other material that i could produce to prove my worth. I could realy use the help if anyone out there is in need of my abilities or knows someone who is. I appreciate anyones effort in regards to this.

AT&T is in this area... find out if you can't get in touch with HR / manager / supervisor in this area and start discussing possible opportunities. It will require some homework, but thats all apart of landing a job.

Not sure what you do.. But you could always try with cable or other utility companies as well.

I don't want to be negative, really I don't. BUT..... I wouldn't move here. Toledo does not have a strong job market and definitely not a strong market in telecommunications. AT&T is always laying off. My cousin used to be an engineer for AT&T when it was SBC. I can't remember exactly but I think I remember something about them not being able to contract out jobs when they have engineers to do it... a union issue, I believe. So I am not sure how much work is contracted out. As you know Toledo is a heavy automotive industry city, my personal opinion is that Toledo is a dying city. Most of the factories are either closing, cutting back shifts, or laying off. It is certainly not the place to come without a stable job. Again I don't want to be negative, just want to tell you to make sure that it is really worth it.
