Okay. I am not really that big on sports events. Do like watching soccer, but not something I do on a normal basis. At first I was like oh man it is going to be a pain to get to work and to get around the city.... but now I am dancing in my seat! I can not wait! I saw the line up for the free concerts and entertainment and I am ready to PARTY!!!! Got myself some tickets to see some soccer games in Hamilton and now the count down begins. Anyone planning to take part in any events? Any tips on things not to miss out on? There is so much great stuff going on. I want to make sure I do not miss out on anything that I will regret not getting to.

Might check something out. Won't know until it starts. Waiting to see how busy things get.

I know it's not that popular an event but I've never had the chance to experience some of these sports so it's kinda different.

I totally love when the city is alive with events like outdoor concerts and street festivals. It keeps life interesting. I am really and not big of watching sports events as I would rather be in the game then watching it, but I think it would be cool to possibly check out some of the other events and get some new inspiration. The tickets appear pretty cheap so worse case you could always leave and would not exactly be blowing the bank. The concert line ups are pretty amazing. There is this group called Calle 13 that I have always wanted to see live and the are going to be preforming live at Nathan Philips Square so that alone has been excited.

I am totally excited for the traffic chaos it'll produce.

I am totally excited for the $100's of millions of dollars that'll be spent on the games that no one cares about.

I am totally excited that the Athlete's Village will be turned into low income housing after the games. Regent Park II.

I'm all for the airport expansion. As for street closures for parades and events. Have at it! I'm a bit biased as I will be marshaling at the Honda Indy this year...
