I'm buying a preowned one so this doesn't really apply. I don't buy daily drivers brand new. I only buy my "fun" car brand new and baby it!
The 400h preowned, IMO, is still not worth the extra one pays for it compared to a 350 from the same year. Lexus vehicles hold their value pretty well, so finding a deal on a preowned one is not going to be easy. It'll come down to year, mileage and where it was used in the past. All my Lexus' vehicles have only required normal maintenance. FWIW my fun vehicles are my GX and Chevy Avalanche.
i am in the market for a new SUV too and I'm looking at a 2016 RX F sport, yes the car is super comfortable but if you haven't driven much outside your lotus then your comparison may be off.... EVERYTHING is more comfortable to drive than a lotus. The lotus is an amazing car and i'd love to have one when i don't have kids anymore but I've been in one and it takes work. my daily driver of a cheap Honda fit is luxurious compared to a lotus
I took my Lexus into the dealer for service and they gave me a '15 RX350 as a loaner. It is a fine car and more peppy than I was anticipating. It seems to have more power than my '09 ES350. It was also quieter than expected as I have ridden in some SUVs that were noisy , especially in the backseat. Now I am curious about the NX if it would be a disappointment .

I have a 2008 Lexus RX400h. Rides great, never had a single problem for over 100k miles. The hybrid consistently gives us 7-10 mpg more than a comparable RX350 in stop and go city driving. We love it.

Not sure I'd agree but I will add this. The acceleration of the RX hybrid blows the gas RX away. The gas version isn't slow. But drive them back to back and you will notice the difference immediately.
Had my '15 GS in the shop, and got a '16 RX for a loaner. I prefer my GS, by far
