We're taking a quick trip down south, leaving MN on Saturday and going to tour Graceland on Sunday then stopping in Mississippi for some bbq, featured on Diners, Drive in and Dives. Then we're making a stop in Little Rock before heading to a resort in Branson for a few days, we'll be doing a few attractions there, before hitting another bbq in Kansas City on the way home next Saturday.
It's not much, but we'll be away from the snow for a while.
Sounds like a cool road trip! I'm not going anywhere, I live in Florida so I'm already at "spring break."
Graceland is really, really cool. They give a decent AAA discount if you are a member. It's worthwhile taking the full tour that also includes the planes across the street.
Depending on your route, it might make sense to spend a day in St. Louis as well.

My husband wants to go in the St. Louis arch, we drove by it a few years ago. Is it worth it?
Sounds fun! We're just heading up to our lakehouse for a couple of days since we just spent a fortune on repairing AC units. Ugh. Lakehouse sounds much more glamorous than what it is, which is very small, very rustic, and needs some work... but it's paid for so all we need to spend on is gas and stocking the fridge. LOL

I envy you. I've wanted to make the same road trip for five or six years now but have never gotten the chance (at least to make it in a decent car!) Enjoy yourself.
I live in a city in southern California about an hour from Los Angeles where there's not too much to do, except for the movies, mall, bowling, some tennis, & that's about it. But I don't live in some small, country town either.
I personally like going on day trips to either L.A., Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, San Diego.
This year, I have a cruise at the end of the month, then flying to Seattle to visit with the grands. Little one turns 4 April 13.
Back for a month and a half then it off to Alabama.
I like reading where everyone goes!
