Are there places you always hear about and you think "I'd never go there." Popular places, off-beat places, any place you just don't want to go? Not bashing now, just someplace that doesn't interest you.

Here's mine: Chicago. It's cold in winter, hot and humid in summer, and if I want to go to a large northern city, it'll by New York. Now, I'm not bashing Chicago - I know lots of folks love it. But I have limited time and money so have to pick....

Las Vegas (not my thing)

Desserts (not the type of natural beauty that I appreciate)

Jungles / Rain Forests (too hot & humid and full of creepy crawly things)

Any ginormous city. I've been to too many of them, and grew up in one. Yes they have lots to offer in terms of things to see/do but the size and number of people is off-putting.

India. I'm sure there are lots of things worth seeing there, but I just have no interest. I've heard too many stories of people saying how dirty it is and they got sick while they were there. I have sensitive guts anyway, so it would probably be the death of me.

I'm sure I'll get slammed for this, but mine would be Hawaii. I've been to other tropical locales and see no need to go to another.

Any place where people tend to go just to catch the sun.

People look at me like I am crazy when I say this but any place tropical. I am not a beach person at all. I would much prefer to go somewhere where there is history. I would love castles, museums and the like.

I agree with you Sherri! Tropical places don't interest me that much, give me a good museum any day!
