I'm a citizen of the US and the Philippines. My US passport expired last fall but my filipino passport is still valid.

Would I be able to travel from the US to the Philippines and then from the Philippines back to the US with my filipino passport?

To come back to the US on your Filipino passport you will need a US visa.

Just get your US passport renew'ed takes about a month.
