New Zealand tops the list for me. Best two weeks of travel I've had.

Also have really enjoyed Norway while exploring on extended work visits there.

The "best vacation" winner for me is a week I spent in NYC, all expenses paid, for an annual company trip to reward top producers. I'd been to NYC before a few years earlier and was so overcome by the heat and humidity that I could barely leave the hotel room. This trip was different. Great weather, great sights, and activities that I never could have afforded or even been able to do had it not been for the company making arrangements. Everything was perfect.

So many wonderful responses and I wish I had 100 years of good health and money to visit all of these places. Our next trip is 2 weeks in Greece and Italy this fall with my 2 year old daughter, my wife and both of our mothers. Going to be tough taking a 2 year old to Athens, Santorini, etc., but it just might end up being one of our all time best vacations.

The 2 places that stand out to me the most are the Swiss Alps and the Grand Canyon. Close by I am very partial to the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains and Charleston SC. And I always love going back to the city I was born in to see family-NYC.

I would avoid Kos. The have a serious migrant problem there.

I only travel for people, so my best place would be where the best people are. Favorites: Yemen, Eritrea, Greenland.
