You mean Pac Bell, where the main features are the giant Coke bottle and the cartoon-faced cars? I was at Candlestick the year it opened.

Fun fact: San Francisco has about 30,000 car break-ins per year. If you're renting, definitely buy the daily coverage. If you're in your own car... garage it somewhere and use Uber/Lyft. If you do park a car, leave NOTHING in the vehicle. It WILL be broken into.

- San Francisco
- Seattle
- Maui (I know you said continental U.S., but I'm listing it anyway )
- Boston
- Providence, RI is a neat little town

There are MANY places in this great country of ours that I have yet to visit. I am certain that some of those places on my bucket list would displace some of those listed above.

Oh okay

https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Co..._United_States

Alaska is unique among the US states as it is part of the North American continent, meaning it is attached via Canada, and so is part of the "Continental United States". However, Alaska is not part of the "Contiguous United States", because it is not attached directly to the lower 48 states.

Some sources incorrectly mix up the continental United States with the contiguous United States (which consists simply of the lower 48 states and the District of Columbia).

If you’re going to do three or more ‘major’ US National parks, just go ahead and buy an ‘America the Beautiful’ annual pass for $80 at the first stop, which covers an impressive number of locations managed by the National Parks service and ends up being a better deal than a new entrance fee for every park, especially if you live near other fee areas (We’re close to Gulf Islands National Seashore and end up using our pass there at least once a month)

If any member of your traveling party is diaabled, your whole car is admitted free if you have the Golden Access card, which is issued free and good for life.

Live in Southern California, so I'll rule this region out...

New York
Las Vegas
New Orleans
San Francisco...

And I really do struggle to come up with a fifth, at least that I've been to (and I've been to a lot of places). Most of the country needs to adopt the slogan: "See America the way it ought to be seen—out of an airplane window from 30,000 feet above."
