I definitely remember Paulo at a winery who was good looking, half my age and gave me a kiss at the end of the wine tasting. I asked my husband how much he spent on wine for that to happen as Paulo’s mom owned the winery).

In countries I was visiting, I've been maybe 100 times inside someone's private home. I remember the details of virtually every one of them. I dare say, virtually all also remember me. No, I never stole any silverware. Very few, I ever knew their names, even then.

We go to Vegas quite a bit and stay in Delano. There's a bar that also turns into a club on the Mandalay Bay casino floor. I was dealing with this one particular bartender only as I was ordering Santa Margarita and bf Jeffersons Ocean. Of course, I'm wearing something small so I'm sure that helped too lol. We came back 5 months later and went back to the bar. I walked up, he saw me and said SM and JO right up. I couldn't believe it after how many thousands of people he has seen in that timeframe!!! We'll be back in May. Wondering if it will happen again??

I went to Christchurch, New Zealand when I was in the Navy, I and a few shipmates spent our overnight liberty in a hotel near the airport. 25 years later I stayed in the very same hotel as a civilian, working for a gov't contractor. I sure as heck hoped no one there remembered me.

I think so, especially if you are friendly, appreciative, and talk about about few personal things. There is a Holiday Inn that I only visit once a year when we visit my mother-in-law and now whenever I go to the restaurant for breakfast, I get a big hug from a lovely woman who is the restaurant manager there. "Oh so nice to see you again -- how is your mother-in-law." It's the only place I go to where I get a hug, but I've gotten one eight years straight. Too fun.

I also tip with $2 bills which aren't super common. This in a stay helps a valet, doorman, restaurant server at a hotel remember me as the $2 tip lady at least for the duration of the trip (I'm not so sure about their remembering me or me remembering them much after the trip though). Most people seem to like to get those and it takes more than one time, but I think it helps me get remembered.

I remember being seated next to one of the drink servers who was going to be on my cruise on a flight to Puerto Vallarta. It was a small plane where my husband and son were sitting together and I wasn't sitting with them. We had a wonderful conversation and talked for a good part of the flight. It was so interesting to hear about how like is on a ship, his family, how contracts work, how much of tips they keep, what kind of quotas they need to do in terms of selling drinks to keep a job, their thoughts and asking for my opinion about the line between giving good service vs. being pushy, and how much they love getting contracts on those short booze cruises as they make so much more money. He came over to say hi multiple times when I saw him on the ship. I do, though, have a habit of talking to strangers and really enjoy talking to strangers. It's so interesting to hear about other people's lives that are so different than yours and hear their perspectives on things.

Well, I have to admit this. We were on our first trip to Hawaii, and stayed in Honolulu. One day we drove up to Kuilima Cove and rented snorkeling equipment. Neither of us had ever snorkeled before (or since). First, I walked to the water with my sunglasses on and the tried to put on my mask, so I had to go back to where we had left our towels. Then we both muddled about in the water which had unusually poor visibility and waves that day. When we finally gave up we noticed several Japanese tourists with phones using the cameras. I expected us to be a hit on Youtube in Japan.

That is really cool. I'm American and would be excited if I somehow was given a $2 bill, I'm sure they remember you it is probably on their wall at home.

Is the question about good memories or bad ones? I certainly hope people who remember me, remember the good things.
