I always carry a pocket knife with me, although it's not a swiss army knife like you are looking at. I would think it shouldn't be a problem to carry a pocket knife with you unless you are flying (I always pack mine in my checked luggage and I've never had an issue).
Yes, it is a swiss army knife and it goes everywhere I go. I skipped the Vatican because there was no where safe to store it. That knife has been indispensible. What's the Pope ever done for me?
The only problem is keeping it on you all the time and then forgetting its there before you board a plane. I've had to go back to the check-in counter 3 times now to check that stupid kife. Still, I wouldn't dream of leaving it behind.
If you're debating on models, the most useful tools are:
1. Short knife.
2. Long knife.
3. Flat head screwdriver (usually a nub on the can opener).
4. Scissors.
In that order.
Followed by:
5. Bottle opener.
6. Phillips head screwdriver.
7. Can opener.
8. Pliers
9. Tweezers.
10. Corkscrew.
11. Everything Else
I don't recommend getting a massive one. The "standard size" models like the Angler are a good size for your pocket or hand. Just decide on which tools you can do without.
Do you carry Pocket Knife with u? My eyes are on this Pocket Knife ..Is it cool to try?
I've been carrying this exact knife around for over 20 years. The TSA has ended up with many of my knives when they first implemented the tighter security although I've been able to take it through the last year or two in my carry on luggage. I may just be getting lucky.
I just carry a short, single blade knife with a lock. Swiss army knives, especially cheap ones, tend to have various parts come open in your pocket and poke you in the leg.
My current choice for my pocket is this: Kershaw 1910 RAM Knife
It is relatively cheap but it is pretty sturdy, holds a good edge and is comfortable to use.
I carried the same Swiss in my pocket all the time for about 40 years. It's one of those with the checkered mag-alloy handle, blade, awl, two combination screw-driver/opener blades. I stopped carying it about a year ago, because I am becoming afraid some eager beaver will take it away from me. It's the oldest thing I own. Nowadays, citizen's rights can evaporate immediately and unexpectedly.

I carried the same Swiss Army knife for about 25 years.
It was always with me, in purse or backpack.
I should have done what you did.
My problem was that I always do carry-on.
It got taken away from me by security on a trip I took sometime after 9/11.
My older son, who lives in Normandy, always carries an oyster knife with him.
He forgot he had it, and security wanted to take it away from him when he was taking a trip to London last fall. The guy let him keep it in exchange for a couple of Obama stickers.
