We are planing to go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, we checked tickets and they are very expensive close to $7-800 per person. Should I wait and book later hoping they come down? We are planing to go the week of Thanksgiving and I know its heavy travel but I only thought it was in the U.S.

You can do a fare watch at Yapta - Track Airline Flight Ticket Prices and Hotel Room Rates, Know When to Buy. They email you when the fares drop, and if you buy before they hit bottom, supposedly you can get a refund.

I am watching several flights to Tucson right now. Each week the fare drops a bit lower.

I think you should wait, however, always go online and check prices. I have known many people that have travel to punta cana and the highest they paid has been 600 rountrip.
