I just noticed two threads are closed (locked) Eve Carson and Jeff Ashton ... why did these two get closed? The Bush Blair war crimes post was never closed and really didn't belong on True Crime as it was being discussed in Politics and Great Debates.

Just wonderin' about Carson and Ashton threads.

When the discussion turns into two people bickering, threads will be closed. It means the topic is exhausted.

You will note, I tried to save the threads, by attempting to steer the focus back on the subject of the thread. Usually, I will give a notice, prior to closing a thread. In an attempt to corral everyone back on task...but, when ignored, it is time to close the thread.

Thanks for the info ... yes I see the bickering too!

Just wondering why you close the threads instead of deleting the questionable posts? You will do as you see fit I guess, I was just curious?

I am not going to take the time to edit and cut threads/posts. Usually the topic is exhausted.

I try to not edit or delete posts. I think most of the time people have a valid reason for their point of view. If I have a question, I will defer to the "tribe", rather than be heavy handed "post" police.

If I close something, you want it back open, send me a DM. This is your forum. You guys are in charge. I am just the driver.

I didn't think the Ashton topic was exhausted. LOL

Some people just like to pop in and have negative opinions and want to argue. They probably are hen-pecked and can't argue with their mate at home or they may just kick their cat around the room.

I still think Jeff Ashton is an excellent attorney ... DNA testing entered the U.S. legal system in 1987 thanks to Jeff. (Tommy Lee Andrews case Orange Co Florida.)

But you the mod!

Eh, I didnt either. I would like to see it back open again in case something new comes up to maybe prevent even more threads from starting. I do think I'm ready to move away from the whiole Casey Anthony discussion as a whole though. Ive already spent far too much time on it only to come away with total disapointment. Five months later and some of us are still discussing it.....myself included.....
