I think the first cop got mad because he slipped and fell on his butt in the mud. Nothing like a motionless punching bag to take out frustrations.
Hmmm. I must have missed that part in First Aid. You know, "when approaching an accident victim, proceed to beat them in the head and all over the torso". Is this some new form of CPR?
Seriously, I hope every one of those cops gets fired. That is no way for a trained emergency responder to act. (Yes police are trained emergency responders). I don't care if your adrenalin is rushing because of the chase. There is plenty of time to arrest the guy while he is in the hospital.
After doing a search I found the entire story. Apparantly cops were laughing about it for a year before the video came to light. The 5 thugs wearing a blue uniform and badge were fired. The article mentions possible criminal charges but I didn't do a search further.

Good, I am glad they got their arses fired. You better believe after seeing "Smokey" guarding a chaingang down in Ala., I did the speed limit!
