Didn't want to be the first one to link to such a tragic story, but there are better than a dozen terribly disturbed young men who post here who sound as bad or worse! I've been wondering for awhile when this might happen.

As much as I value privacy, I certainly hope the moderators on City-Data keep a functional database to screen for disturbed souls like this young man and hopefully find a way to intervene before more innocent lives are lost!

It is NOT acceptable behavior NOT to swoop in with a quick WTF, telling these young men they are wrong, wrong, wrong.

All of us should be more strong in saying "enough is enough." Stop the misogyny and the violence.
There are many more men who have no trouble getting laid, are misogynists, and engage in domestic violence than there are dangerous loners. The vast majority of loners are as harmless to women as the vast majority of married men.

Evil people come from all walks of life.

Count the number of gun owners that do not go around shooting people.
No. The USA has one of the highest rates of shooting sprees than any other Nation.

All of them? Really? If an awkward guy is going to only look to the party girls and ignore the decent, cute, average women all around him who are his peers, then I can't muster up much sympathy for his plight.

But it neatly encapsulates the issues with these guys. Their standards in women aren't just unrealistic -- they are much higher than the standards they set for themselves. A lot of these people are just emotionally stunted people who willfully ignore their manifest shortcomings, blaming the opposite sex for all their woes. Because God forbid that they might think they are the problem.

It almost seems like they watch so much porn that they've convinced themselves that women who look like porn stars and lingerie models are attractive. Any woman who doesn't look look like that is unattractive, and any guy with a woman who couldn't be in Victoria's Secret is settling. So all those normal, average-looking couples out there holding hands at the fireworks this weekend really aren't that into each other.

People should be taught from an early age that there are a millions things much more important than having a gf/bf.

What about the guys who are afraid to approach both the party girls and the decent girls? Because that is me .
