I think Bill O'Reilly should be careful. Rush Limbaugh, another Fox favorite, was always saying how they should execute druggies. And what was he? A DRUGGIE! SO BILL, ARE YOU?

here's one for you that is happening now, there's a couple who own a daycare and have for years, highly religeous family well respected etc. Recently several kids came in with the flu, one girl started getting sick and did so all over the lady (from both ends) while another child had it coming out both ends as well so they call the parents to come get the children. Needless to say it took some time for the parents (well over an hour and a half for one) so the wife asks her husband to take the one girl and put her in the tub and rinse her off so she's not covered in vomit and feces while she cleans up herself and the other kidlets. They figured why have a children sitting in all that mess while waiting god knows how long for a parent and get in trouble for not doing anything.
Next thing you know he's arrested because the parent said he touched the child "innapropriately".
While no one who really knows them believes this for a minute their life is now ruined and will most likely have to sell everything to defend themselves and even if they prevail their name is now ruined.
Keep up the hysteria, kill everyone and lock up what's left, go bill!!!!

This question for the poll is sooo broad that anyone of us could probably be executed for abusing a child. Many feel that to use your hand on the bottom of an uncontrollable child is abuse. Then, others who don't think it is abuse unless a child is sexually molested and abused.

Who is to define what is abuse and what is mistreatment in any given situation. Most parents have been guilty of over reacting to their child's misbehavior and subjecting the child to prolonged verbal abuse, withholding privileges or spanking the child.

If we are asking should a CRIMINAL act such as sexual abuse, starvation or beating that causes a child's death or kidnapping for ransom or immoral acts, then I would probably say "Yes" if it is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Would I condone the death penalty for physical abuse or verbal abuse of one's own child or any other child, probably not, if this abuser was prevented from ever having contact with the child again.

We don't need unjust laws enacted that go beyond what is morally necessary. We need to enforce the laws that already stand and provide safe havens for abused children where they are healed, protected and loved.

The death penalty for ANY child abuse is archaic and very dangerous ground to tread. Next, it may be the police knocking on your door because a disgruntled neighbor says that you beat your child over any infraction. Careful.

Physical abuse is a bit of a slippery slope. I think there's some hope for rehabilitation here.

Sexual abuse? Death, please. I'm not even interested in torture or prolonging of life. I just want them gone.
