What would a normal person call it when a kleptolegislator takes "donated money" from a lobbyist, and either lets said lobbyist write or contribute to the writing of a law that is of primary interest to said lobbyist, and/or later votes for that law rather than recuse himself because, by accepting a "donation," he has created a conflict of interest?

I am forming a committee: CONSERVATIVES SUPPORTING BLOGGO

What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If Bloggo gets tossed under the bus for what 90 percent of other governors and legislators do as an SOP, there is another reason the dems hate him.

If I were Bloggo, I would not have used the term "until I draw my last breath."
Given the dirt he surely has on others, and his knowledge of where the bodies are buried, I wouldn't be surprised to discover he'd had a fatal "heart attack."

Never trust someone with eyes less than a half-inch apart.

Chicago and Illinois dems hate him for a variety of reasons, and have for a while now.

I'd say that the reason that this is being prosecuted is Peter Fitzgerald, a zealous prosecutor and, as near as I can tell, a non-partisan straight up guy.

CANOE -- CNEWS - World: Fitzgerald an aggressive prosecutor (http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/World/2008/12/09/7689436-ap.html - broken link)

Because everybody with a brain saw this coming, they've been keeping their distance. He may have some old news to share, but I'll wager it won't amount to much. He's been on the outs for too long.

Also once he relinquishes power he will be absolutely nothing. He said people are supporting him but I'm still waiting to hear from them. He won't be able to get a job before the prison time.... Why not hold on till the last dying breath. His life is over it after words.

Even though I think he Roddy is probably guilty as all heck, I will criticize Fitzy. He should not be out there in a news conference making all those claims and opinions. His comments might unduly influence a potential jury.

I think he is way out of line in the comments he and the other agents involved have made.

wow, I agree with you. Not that I think Blago in innocent, I was just disappointed in the grandstanding of Fitzgerald at the press conference.

I can't believe I just "rep'd" you.
