Here is an updaye from the Gaston Gazette Gaffney serial killer shot and killed in Gaston County. Officer: "We have him. He's our serial killer." (http://www.gastongazette.com/news/dead-35720-officer-shot.html - broken link)
Quote:
Ballistics tests on a gun and bullets found with the man in Gastonia, North Carolina, match those used in a weeklong killing spree in and around Gaffney, said State Law Enforcement Deputy Director Neil Dolan.
"We have him. He's our serial killer," Dolan said.
Authorities did not release the man's name, but said he has had several encounters with law enforcement over the years
The officer that was shot is said to be doing well.
Some people should just stay in jail and never get out. Thoughts and prayers to all the victims and families. Now we can all sleep a little better. Never put your guard down. These type of people are getting out of jail all the time (not rehabilitated) and put out into society to re-offend..
It was almost an hour late. Hopefully you caught it, if not, they've got video up.
Did everybody else who watched it catch the slam by the SC SLED cheif about other states "revolving door" criminal systems. Many of the news sites have this guys rap sheet up and he had several convictions in NC. As that guy said, there's little excuse for this guy to have been out on the street.
Wow his rap sheet is crazy. The two people he was "partying" with.. thats scary, she is on probation and wanted for drug selling.. I agree this guy should have been locked up for life. Guess now it will be cheapers, thanks to the fine officers in SC!. (Too bad it was too late and cost 5 lives).

Yes, I caught it and it is a point well taken.
I couldn't help but wonder, Blue . . . how many more like this guy have been let out of prison and are out there amongst us . . . and are capable of this same type of senseless criminal behavior? Scary.
