We have been missing Chinese food like back home. We have tried at least 4 different places (some good and some bad, for us anyway). The food really isn't like what we had back home in NH. Can someone point us to a place that has great Chinese food (especially is it is like what we would get in New England)?

Thanks guys

The only place that I've found that comes close (and no - it's not going to be as good as NE) is Chopstix on Cortaro. Every other place I've tried was nasty in comparison.

I love Chopstix too. Be sure to get the wings appetizer with their original sauce. Best wings in town.

The best I've had here is at the Dragon View on Bonita, west of 1-10, near St. Mary's. Be sure to ask for the traditional menu - I think it's still called the Pink Menu. Yum.

There was a great cheap, Chinese Lunch spot next to Moon's Smokeshop on Grant. Is it still there?

The best Asian food in town is at Neo of Melaka, on E Broadway at S Wilmot. They have some traditional Chinese dishes, plus Malay and Indian-style food. Everything is top quality. Their weekend buffet, although small, is very tasty, too. Be sure to try their lemak curry shrimp or salmon. Yum!

I lived in China and other parts of Asia for several years, so I base my Chinese food comparisons off of the food I got there. The only one I've ever had in Tucson that was close was Old Peking on Speedway. But Gee's Garden on Alvernon also does a surprisingly authentic dim sum service on the weekends.

For American Chinese, I've always been a fan of Chopstix. They have another location on Palo Verde and Ajo (random, I know) right by the swap meet that's more Pei Wei style of atmosphere. It's really nice inside too. I always thought they were a chain, but they aren't.

My favorite is Kazoku on Speedway and Columbus. It is well worth trying. In the same vein, it's not "Chinese" but I also frequent "I Luv Pho" and "Pho 88" on Campbell.
