Has anyone been to the Breakers Water Park in Marana? Is it good enough for a day? Would it be worth it to get a pass (next year) and go several times over the summer?

Would like to know if it is relatively clean, in good shape or disrepair, etc... the usual things a helicopter mom is concerned about.

Is it better for little ones, middle schoolers or ?

The reviews weren't the greatest, but... I guess that we've all become Disney-ized, and we will always expect every place on Earth to be just like Disney, and if it ain't - we walk, ya gnow?

Oh, well...

Default Breakers Water Park

From a helicopter family to yours

We went there 1 time. Our little ones liked it (age 5 & 8) but it is rather old. There are activities for all ages. Our youngest couldn't go down the big slide but I went down it and wasn't impressed. It had a bad bump that hurt and I felt like I'd drown on the bottom. There was a fun slide for all ages and the wave pool is fun. It was clean but mid summer it is busy and not always easy to find chairs. Take your own chairs and blankets.

Default Thanks

Thank you to everyone who took the time to give me some sort of response. We are used to going to the sanitized waterparks of Pheonix so I am sure the Breakers would be a disappointment.

It's not an issue until next summer when we need to decide where we do the "kids" vacation, so I won't rule it out completely.

No. Breakers doesn't open up until May and closes around the end of August I think?

EDIT: Nope, looks like the last day it was open this year was today.

Breakers Water Park General Information
Very odd. I never would have thought it has such a short season here. I know kids go back to school and stuff but still. Seems they could even do a weekend only thing and still make dough. But maybe not.
