DEAD END . . . or . . . NO OUTLET?

Personally, if the streets are located in suburbia, I think they should be designated with signage that reads "Welcome to the Hotel California" . . . a lovely place . . . where you can never leave. Much more inviting (and descriptive) than Dead End or No Outlet, dontcha think?

I don't get the "Pre-Owned" car thing either. does it mean it was owned before it was owned? Kind of like "Pre-Boarding" of an airplane.

When I see "Men Working" signs I don't expect to see anyone working. Of coarse, I'm in the Chicago area where that is accepted practice.

I also never understood the advertising thing where the say, "Save 20% when you buy this" How are you saving when you spend?

I don't think "Dead End" or "No Outlet" is correct either. Dead End implies that there is someting that has expired there and "No Outlet" implies, as someone else said, something like Hotel California or that there is no place to plug anything in.

Hotel California! Ha! What a couple of seriously cool dudes you guys are! Great thought - love it! I should get my city council person on the phone right away...

Also, I believe that "pre-owned" means that someone owned the vehicle prior to YOU owning it. Pre-abused may sometimes be more correct!
