La Parilla Suiza. Their shredded beef chimi(enchilada-style) is great, so is their tortilla soup. Oh yeah, and the fajitas(I get the shrimp ones), and the little tacos(your choice of meat) with sauteed bacon, peppers, and onion. Second choice, El Charro maybe.

Sure does Zony! But, I miss puffy tacos. Every Mexican restaurant in San Antonio had them. As far as salsa goes, I like my own. I don't think I've found the "best" in Tucson.

Yes it is! I'm still looking for the best enchiladas in town. Again, I like my own, but I don't always want to make them myself. I've never been to Mi Nidito. Should I try them for enchiladas?

I don't know what "Tex-Mex" is (something like fajitas??)....and it wouldn't be called that here anyway!!...."Sonoran" is what we serve and that's something like tacos and enchiladas with rice and beans all covered by lettuce and red sauce...don't know if that's really what you get in Sonora

I'll be able to get out for lunch twice while I'm in town, once on Thursday and once on Friday. Looking for "real" peasant type food abuelita would make, not fusion or fancy. Going in jeans.

Thanks in advance!
Hey, Ginny... let us know how your lunch(es) went when you can. And you better NOT have gone to Taco Bell!
