Hey, many people don't know this, but it is also Arizona's birthday. On February 14, 1912, Arizona was admitted as the 48th state! For the longest time the state of Arizona celebrated February 14th as a state Holiday, but, unfortunately, it was taken away back in the '70's.

I believe the 14th is Oregon's birthday too, isn't it? Is that a popular date for States signing joining the Union? I'm not a big state history buff...
I intend to celebrate by watching Robocop at the Loft. Good thing I'm already single!

Hey, Flec! I checked a few statehood sources, and you're right! Only Arizona and Oregon became states on Feb 14, Valentine's Day! |
