Looks like we might be relocating to Jenks. 2 boys are in college but one is still in Middle school. Plays travel baseball. Wondering g what the schools are like and if there is good travel ball out there. Is this a friendly area? What about home rentals as we will be renting when we first get out there.

Hopefully, the road construction on the main road is finished in Jenks.

There is no construction on streets in Jenks currently. It's just about the best school system in the state for academics and is the best system in the state for sports. You will find many travel baseball teams.

I agree with swake, schools of the most desired in the area, its a middle upperclass town with the community at heart.

Feel free to send me your info and I can send you over some of the rentals so you can have an idea of what the housing is like, I'm a realtor and service that area.

Some great public schools over there on the eastside.

Many sports opportunities.

Many blessings on your move.

You can't go wrong with the Jenks school district for academic and sports. It is the top rated school in the area, Owasso is a close second for both as well. Union, Bixby and Broken Arrow fall in line behind that. Although I wouldn't live in Bixby, too far South with no real way to get out of there but driving for miles until you get to a freeway/highway.

Jenks and Owasso both have a very different feel to them, you would have to visit to see which one you like better. Both communities are friendly and have nice areas to live. Both cities have community activities and festivals. Jenks nudges ahead for me because of the development the cute downtown.

If you are renting at first then Jenks currently has 10 homes for rent ranging from $1250 to $2700. Owasso has 22 homes to rent ranging from to $2500 a month. A word of caution, not all Jenks addresses are aligned to Jenks school district and the school district also includes some zip codes in south Tulsa. Double check, triple check to make sure what school the address is mapped to, don't trust anyone but the Jenks school to tell you if an address is Jenks school district. Here is a map of the Jenks school district. Jenks school map.

Homes sure aren't cheap to rent in suburban Tulsa.

Yes I agree Tulsa is at least 500 miles away from the nearest ocean , and doesn't have mountain ranges over 3,000 feet tall.
