My son is moving to Tulsa in a few weeks to start classes at Tulsa Welding School. He already has an apartment set up at Coppermill Apartments. Can anybody give me any info about the area?

GREAT!!! Now what do we do! We have already paid deposit and it stoo late to look anywhere else. What do you know about the area? Evertything seemed good, and it was on a list from the school from their housing placement.

I hesitated posting that, but I was just trying to help out. That area of Tulsa should be a decent location. The 71st street area I thought always was pretty nice, so I was surprised by those people's feedback. Maybe someone else who lives closer to that area will chime in.

Also note that most of the negative comments are by people doing it anonymously, kind of bogus if you ask me. If you are going to put down a place, at least put your name next to it.

I'm living 2 streets away from 71st...
(That's where all the shopping is...)

Since I'm pretty new to Tulsa (less than 2 months),
I can't tell you too much, but for what it's worth,
I never felt the need to carry a firearm and I'm still legal to do so.

Thank for the info. I'm just a nervous mom who is not ready for her son to move 400 miles away. The school assured me that they would recommend any apartment complex that had any major problems.

That doesn't sound good at all...
I'm hoping you meant to say "wouldn't".

Oops, my mistake! I meant the school wouldn't recommend any place that had too many problems

Never leave anything in the car overnight. Take the keys from the ignition, the face off the radio, and lock it up.
