I love this show! I'm looking for season 5, seems I'll only be able to buy it from UK or Aust on ebay.

Why this cannot air on BBCA is beyond me.

I was looking and thought my original post for BBC TV series or movies, was on the UK forum, I guess it was moved to TV.

I think I'll jump over to the UK and Aust forum and mention this topic.

It'll be almost 3 yrs since starting this topic, doesn't seem that long.

Thanks to all in the UK and anywhere around the world for helping with all the suggestions over the years, we yanks really appreciate it, you're the best

Ok BBCAmerica, all is forgiven. Today, Sunday, they are airing 5 hours straight of the original 1990 House of Cards, starring Ian Richardson!! I've only seen clips of this before, but understand it is superb!

Yes, Luther and Inside Men were both aired. Don't know about The Shadow Line. I liked Inside Men, but the ending just kind of fizzled. I expected at least one more episode.

I've watched Luther, but I just don't like his character.

BBCA does show some good dramas, but not on any regular schedule that I can figure out. Just marathons of the same 3 or 4 shows, with a drama here and there.

Anyone watching "DCI Banks?" It is currently running on PBS, at least in my area (Denver).

One of the leads from "Murder in Suburbia" (Caroline Catz) joined the cast last week.

I am finding it quite engrossing.

Different subjects? Not necessarily. I think there is plenty of variety of subjects on US television. What it doesn't do much of, because it's not popular with the majority of the public, are period pieces.

British television does do great with that. Though it has an advantage, in that so many of its series' are only a few episodes long. In the US, those would be called mini-series. Which would open up the variety of subject matter even more.

The BBC makes some of the best dramas in the world imo, but seems like BBCA is getting feed 20 year old stereotyped crap lol. Watch The Shadow Line, that's what modern BBC drama is about.
