I just found out they cancelled Journeyman on NBC; I am so sad!! Why do they keep cancelling shows that are great?
I agree with you about Journeyman. The problem is that for a show like Journeyman you had to think when watching it. I personally like shows like that. However a lot of people want the mindless reality shows and they are much cheaper to make.

Yeah; but you look at lost you have to really think!! Journeyman was one of my favorite new shows. I hate the way they don't give shows a chance anymore like they used too!!

I wrote a letter to the network. You never know!!
Yes you have to think about Lost- I agree. However, I guess I was trying to say with all the reality shows-they are much cheaper than "real" shows and it takes time to build a story line and learn what is going on. It is faster for network execs to see "results" on reality shows-you don't need to think and they can show a clip of someone yelling or screaming or cheating on someone and a lot of people want to tune in.
You are correct-they do not give shows a chance anymore. Both Seinfeld and Cheers would never have made it by today's standards-they would have been gone the first season. I am sure other popular shows of the past as well. Good for you for writing-my husband and I did too when we found out that it was cancelled-we usually do that because how will they know unless they hear from us fans?. You never know
Nicolem-- totally agree about the reality shows; thanks for clarifying. Sadly; I get into those! But of course I would much prefer shows like The Journeyman.....
It was this very original show, with an anti-hero as the main character. Sort of like Dexter but many years prior. Way ahead of its time. They gave it on Fox, only ran for barely a season.
I agree, Journeyman was a good show. I will miss it. We should all write letters to the network. Just a thought!
