So recently i became aware that CNN hired Eliot Spitzer, the hooker specialist, to be a newsman on their tv show along with some other gal no one has heard of. In this day where news media is so worried about 'journalistic standards' how does a former $5000/hour hooker specialist gets to do a news program? Is that due to a lot of credibility?

I think that shows getting canned by the end of the year.

Has anyone seen the show? If so, what's your take?

There's this whole anti-intellectual thing going on in this country which is just scary as hell. STUPID IS GOOD! Beat down the educated! I don't know why but it frightens me, and the rest of the world, a lot.

I didn't need to ponder their reasoning for more than a few seconds. He has notoriety and people will turn in just to see what he has to say on whatever the topic of discussion is. Especially since his host is not a 'name'. Even news shows want good ratings.

Besides that major character flaw, I really like his insights and the knowledge he brings to the show.

The show is a major BORE . I would rather swallow red ants than watch it again.

I think with the popularity of the scummy reality shows, other types of shows feel like they need a really scummy notorious person in order to compete. I don't have satellite, so wouldn't see it anyway.

I either read online or heard on the radio that since Glenn Beck left then Rick Sanchez I believe it was that their ratings were in the tank for news. Not for Nancy whats her name of Joy whats here name or Larry King their ratings are fine.

Oh yeah I'm just the messenger don't shoot please.
