I used to watch more often than I do now. She assumes way too much because of her experience, and because, "They don't keep me here because of my good looks. It's because I'm smart!".

I saw a case a few years ago were a young guy with a serious crush on a girl was planning on going on a hiking trip through the U.K., and the girl happened to have a friend she wanted to see in England. So the young guy offers to pay for her trip, and according to the girl she was undecided about whether she'd go hiking with him or spend the time with the friend, told the guy so, and when they were in England she decided to just visit her friend. The guy felt jaded so sued. Judge Judge scolded the girl and told her she couldn't take advantage of guys because she was pretty. She ruled in favor of the young man, which I thought was unfair. I was sympathetic with him, but it was his dumb mistake. He should have told her from the beginning, only take the offer if you are sure you'll be going hiking with me.

I've seen other cases like that where she assumed way too much.

As someone else pointed out when the credits are rolling they say, or at least used to, that the show pays the judgement not the loser in the case. Don't know why they act so upset when they lose if they don't have to pay. Guess they just don't want to admit being wrong.

We all want to tell people what we really think
It's the ultimate fantasy
In no way resembles a real court

This is a show more for entertainment value. Dont think its even a real courtroom. If you had to deal with the calibre of people she does it would make you mean too. My opinion from some of the shows I have watched it appears she has a drinking problem. Woman is filthy rich then some. Like she says ' they dont keep her there because shes beautiful, they keep her there because shes smart'.

TV and Movie production is done in a large bldg. and they have "Sets"....no difference then a TV News or Anchor where the Desk/Table will change day by day if desired.

I was once in the audience of a TV program that aired a month later.......the audience was a "canned" audience instead of us which disappointed me as I had taken a teen niece who was visiting from back east....first time in Hollywood.

She is rude, and entitled. I don't like her or her show. She seems to show favoritism towards some participants. It seems as if the outcome has already been decided, so there is no credibility.

She may know the laws but I think she's a -itch, with no professional demeanor at all.

I don't get her appeal at all!
Is this a gender based thing since all the people I know who like it are older women?
Does this fulfill some sort of satisfaction fantasy that certain people will get reamed every 2 minutes with that horrible voice & attitude that ordinary folks would like to do if they had the chance?
Is it indicative of a social/political mindset - are Judge Judy fans also fans of "Trump for President" because they both "tell it like it is"? (And do it like loud entitled bullies for lots of $$$ if one isn't a fan?)

I'm serious, I don't get it... help me out.

I am not an older woman but I do enjoy seeing her take down some of the entitled jerks that appear on her show. Trump???? Waiting to hear his foreign policy views.
