Remember when Karen said that she was with the Asian guy as much as she was with Lip? The baby didn't have Down Syndrome, it was half asian. The adoptive couple wanted a white baby.
Bingo. The couple paid for a blonde blue eyed baby so the contract is void. I don't think the child has Down's because in the previews It appears Karen wants the baby back. Probably because she still may be able to find a buyer.

I guess that's why I was confused.
I'm confused after last night's episode because Karen's comments would indicate the baby is both Asian and has Down's Syndrome. I hope Karen is gone for good. Monica will probably reappear in the future.

There were actually a couple of other comments, too, such as Mandy mentioning someone (a cousin?) who was born with a foot coming out of his knee (or something like that), implying that having a disability is not necessarily all bad.
So, the baby must be both half Asian and have Down's Syndrome. Letting Sheila and Jody keep a baby with Down's Syndrome, having taken him within hours of him being born, is so implausible. Forget the legal stuff, DS babies often have other physical "issues" - such as heart murmurs - and I'm sure he would need to be evaluated completely by medical staff (you know, if this wasn't a t.v. show and all ) before being allowed to go home with anybody.
That part about Jody "leaking" was kind of funny - especially since I can sympathize, having nursed my own five kids.
Season finale' - now we get to wait for another nine months or so to pick up with the Gallaghers. I hate that about all these cable shows - their seasons are so short and then there are months and months before they return.
When I saw Jenna Elfman's face pop out from under the covers I was like "HELLLLLOOOOOOO!!!"

I was having some problems with "darkness" on my computer with the inside scenes; the outside scenes were fine. So, some of the stuff wasn't real clear and I didn't realize that was her. I'll have to go back and re-watch, I guess.
Karen still smoked cigs, drank and smoked weed while pregnant. No wonder the child now has a disability, that aside .. Jody with the breastfeeding was too funny! He's kinda creepy in a weird sort of new-agey way ... but he's starting to grow on me and I think he has a good heart with good intentions.
Sunday's episode with Fiona and Jimmy in the kitchen absolutely broke my heart and then her holding/comforting Carl/Debs sent me over the edge ...
I hope we don't have to wait another year for new episodes.
I wana start watching it but have heard it is bang on script with the UK version, and have watched that version.
Anyone seen both and still can watch the American version?
