It comes on PBS on Friday nights. I prefer Home and Away. I watch it on Youtube.

My wife is glued to Eastenders even more than usual now one of her old 70s pin up
boys has come into the show. His name is David Essex, don't know if he's known in
America. Big star here in England back then. He was in some films, one of which was
'That'll be the Day' with Ringo Starr, he did stage work, and had a number of big pop
records. Looks like the scriptwriters are going to build the show around him for the near
future.

As I was saying!! One guy called William Roache has been in the show for 51 years -
still gets the girl sometimes and he's coming up 80. Corrie is funnier than Eastenders.
There is a character called Diedre who has the daughter from hell - been to jail for
murder etc. Last night, her and a group of characters were discussing the bad behaviour
of someone. Diedre pipes up "sometimes I wish I'd been a bit stricter with my Tracie"
cue glances at each other from others!!

and the player for the BBC.. I.BBC doesn't work in our area either!

This ain't working out... is there not any more Eastender shows in the NE area no more? Can't you connect your tv to a digital box and get it via that?
Even if we added cable to our tv set, I'm doubting we could still see the show... seeing as I just went online to BBC.com and it won't show it in our area.

You can try Youtube. Just type in Eastenders and the date you want to watch. That's what I do with Home and Away.
