This show annoys me. It promotes the idea that it's healthy to lose massive amounts of weight in a very short period of time. The one guy last night, who lost something like 70 pounds in three weeks? Sorry, that's not a healthful way to do it.
70 pounds is the most extreme example of weight loss.
But whether 70 pounds or 7, the contestants are paid to work out, supervised, much longer than most people have time for every day. They also have their meals planned for them (but they need to follow-through with the meal plan). They are not starved. I believe their food is nutritionally balanced and of course conducive for weight loss yet healthy enough to promote stamina needed for their work outs.
I think it's interesting to see really overweight people transform their bodies, not through lapband surgery, but through exercise and healthy eating. It's certainly healtier than remaning morbidly obese.
Did you see cowboy Bob last night? After he rode the bull on slow motion, the operator should have turned on the speed up to normal!! I would have loved seeing him fly off that thing.
Did anyone watch this last night (November 8th). I was watching "DWtSs" and I missed who was voted off.
Go to Hulu. It's on there.
