This is ALL conjecture on my part.
The second he blew up I said 'the government did it'. So, I think you are right but IDK if it was a 'false flag' or because Sekou outed the source or what.

They are leading us to believe it was a part of the government, for sure. Time will tell.

I've been suspicious on Dar Adal since he first showed up. They have definitely written him in a way where you don't know where he leans, and where his alliance lies.

Yes it all seems to be pointing too unsubtly to Dar Adal - I wonder if they've got a twist up their sleeves?

What about Ray Donovan? I lost interest but gained it again. Stayed up late catching up. I hope I'm still far behind so there is a lot more left!

We still don't know who he is working for, but a very bad man indeed.

Just a thought I had. Since Homeland is going to end at season 8, I really hope it ends on a high note. Based on Californication and Dexter, Showtime has a way of running shows into the ground. But this does seem different...it's season 6 and the quality is still very high. That and the writers take their time between developing each season, and even go to DC every year to get ideas. For example, this season was postponed by a few months in order to have more time to think about where they wanted the season to go. I also like that they intend on going back abroad for the final 2 seasons...as much as I love seeing NYC this year.
