I just can't imagine Kurt Sutter sucking up to the right people to get these kinds of awards. You just have to look at some of the winners to realize how meaningless the Emmys are.

I disagree, I think some are very deserving. Never saw Modern Family or Homeland so cant speak on the big winners.
And they (TV folks) allll want one, even Sutter, I am sure. Its like a TV oscar.
I think SOA is a good show, not as good as some out there now, but usually entertaining, albeit flawed at times.
I thought last weeks "burning" was over the top and really a bit too much (for me anyway).

When Homeland beats out Breaking Bad - it's a pretty good sign that there is more to winning an Emmy than quality.
Plus (how convenient) he had the kids taken care of before he went in to prison. Kurt Sutter won't have too many loose ends to tie up if Opie dies.
I wouldn't call that taken care of. She reluctanty said 3 weeks. Clearly she has ZERO interest in taking care of his children.
And if he does die, it's not loose ends tied up. I'll bet there will be big deal about her not wanting the kids and SAMCRO stepping in to take care of them.
Wow, I wish it wasn't Opie that died. I would have preferred Tig to be off the show.
On another note, Tara looks awful in some of the scenes. Especially the one where she is talking to Wendy.
