Look interesting. Guess someone gets killed in the line of duty right off the bat. The title worries me. Chicago Code was one of the best series last year and it bit the dust and I'm afraid that's going to happen to this one too.

I agree about Chicago Code. But I wonder about a show that is based on having a fire every week.

Rescue Me lasted a few years. I'm sure it will be a night soap. They have EMTs included with Fire/Rescue.

I am waiting to see if the episodes are based on real event, or fictional ones. My faters best friend was a firefighter who was killed in a Chicago fire in the 1950's.

How does it compare? I liked Rescue Me even though it wasn't very fashionable here in the UK. Had a big Irish connection so I could relate to alot of the humour and as well the 9/11 connection seems to have built a strong foundation from which Dennis O'Leary could contrast the changing New York with the changing skyline that resonated so much in the opening credits.

I'm just wondering how Chicago Fire is going to compare when it hasn't got such a cataclysmic event to propel it into contention.

Did I say it was going to compare? No, I did not. I'm merely discussing a new firefighting show about to come on. Min asked about a show dealing with a fire a week and I responded that Rescue Me was on for awhile so maybe a firefighter show can go the distance. Musta got scrambled over the Atlantic.

Yes, really I did wonder how that would work out. I had never seen Rescue Me or any type of show dealing with firefighting so I was curious. I'll give this one a watch this one to see how they do it.
