Yeah, it was a little better. I got a kick out of the mention of the kid's Z. Cavaricci pants! Those were all the rage, and 2 friends of mine worked there at the time.

My sentiments, exactly.

I will never watch screaming/yelling families. It didn't happen in my life, thank God, and it's not an acceptable way to live. Sorry for those of you who do. Shows like this will be right up your alley.

It's nothing new. I noticed yelling in sitcoms years and years ago. I honestly don't know which came first: Families mimicing sitcoms or sitcoms mimicing families. Either way, it's not for me.

I don't even think we made it through half of the first episode. Didn't laugh, didn't find anything funny or charming or memorable. And it had to remind you every 5 seconds that it was the 80s, as if that was the joke. It might have been bearable if they would have just let it take place in the 80s without referencing it every few seconds.

The second episode wasn't as bad as the first.
We went to the roller rink quite a bit through the 80s and into the early 90s.

The ones by us were closing by the mid 80's. I guess it depended on where one lived.

I thought the second show had a lot more to offer.

The second episode didn't do as good as the first one to me. It went from enjoyable to being a possible dump. The mom isn't as annoying as I thought but the show itself is kind of meh in just two episodes. That is NEVER a good thing.

I grew up in the 80s but I have to say I have no connection whatsoever for this show. On the other hand, watching the The Wonder Years, I have such a connection to that show.

I thought I would give it one more chance and watched the second show. There was no yelling. I actually kind of liked it because of the interaction between father and son and even a little between mother and younger son. I liked it better than the pilot but I don't know if I want to make it a regular on my list.

The son! Oh my god, the SON!!!! Can they send him to a boarding school? He's the worst character on the show.
