I know the Netflix subscription is $8 per month.
Also know that new movies 3-4 months after theatre premier are available on Netflix.
But are these new movies included in the $8 monthly fee?
Or do I have to pay additional $x / movie?
On Comcast and Amazon Instant these movies go $3-$10 per view (1 day rental).
How about TV shows, all episodes are included in the monthly $8?

We've been using Netflix for over a year, it does not carry all TV shows, but it has a wide selection, some of the very old series and some recent series. They are all included in the $7.99..

Here are their TV shows: http://www.netflix.com/WiGenre?agid=83

Netflix will give you a one month free trial, that's how we started and have been pleased.

We also have Amazon Prime. We do a lot of online shopping with Amazon, that's why we have prime, the video is secondary, some of the video is free some you pay for. We had to pay

That and Over The Air free TV is more than we have time to watch...

That one doesn't work for people not signed up. Maybe this one?

That's an important point. Some people sign up for Netflix and get upset that it doesn't have everything they've ever wanted to watch available.

Which service are you looking at - DVD or streaming?
Very few newly released movies are available for streaming which is why I still have the one DVD+streaming plan.
Whichever plan you get, it is all inclusive. If they have it, you can watch it for the one monthly fee.

Netflix streaming has a poor selection of classic films; if that's your cup of tea, add on the by-mail DVD service, which has untold thousands of them.

ok, I subscribed today for the 30day trial.
They have some good stuff. But many recent movies are missing from the online library.
This DVD posting seems ancient, they should really support more stuff online.
Have you heard any news or rumours whether it is going to be changed or not...

It's a licensing thing. Doubtful it will get changed anytime soon.

We just signed up for streaming and are a bit disappointed at the selection, but it will take us a long time to run out of things to watch, so, for the money, I think its a good deal. I can't get some shows I was hoping for, like Northern Exposure, and newer movies are pretty scarce, but we'll keep it for awhile.
