I'm not trusting on demand, I have it on DVR. I go to bed really early. Don't worry though, I don't mind being spoiled

I really enjoyed the pilot tonight. It follows the book closely and I'm sure that is because one of the authors of the book, del Toro, is also a producer of the show. The book is great, BTW, and I suspect the entire series will be, too. Oh Goody!

The acting was good and it was nice to see Sean Astin again. One of the things I particularly liked is the fact that even some of the "good guy" characters are weird. You know, that is just like real life and those characters were weird in the book, too.

I will most likely tune in again next week and give this show a chance and see where it goes.

Some of the dialogue was hilariously bad. Like cartoon quality.

But I really enjoyed the overall story. It's nice to see vampires as monsters again, rather than navel-gazing emo aesthetes.

Thought it was good. Great storyline. I don't know about the acting though..hopefully it gets better.

Meh. I wasn't too impressed. It's not bad, just not as good as I was hoping for.
That said, I'll keep watching, see how it develops.

I kind of agree with this.

Not that I expected so much more, just seemed a bit forced.

I actually fell asleep watching, that really doesn't happen very often.

I had no idea this show involved vampires or whatever they are. I thought it was like Contagion or something. I might give it an episode or more to see if it picks up, but I just thought it wasn't that good. I actually am surprised that so many liked it.

Yea, they aren't really vampires in the Bram Stoker sense.

They are parasites basically. But apparently parasites that can be controlled?
