"American Idol" on the news (tv show, show, Baltimore)

I have a question for everyone out there. Does your local FOX news station talk about "American Idol" on almost every newscast? Here in Baltimore, I stopped watching FOX news because it came up as an item on EVERY airing of the local news. Since when does a TV show have to come on the news all the time? It is like finger nails on a chalkboard to me. Just wondering what is going on in other parts of the country.

Oh yes. I watched in NJ and now I watch in MO. Every night after AI, the local Fox news has lots to say about it. I'm sure it's just another way of advertising AI.

Yes, even here in Dallas FOX4News talks about it all the time. I've never even liked the show. With last weeks auditions here in Dallas you better believe that EVERY SINGLE outtake was of something AI! URGH!!!
