Big surprise at the double elimination last night but the correct two went home. Mah-Jing should have won IMO.

I was a bit surprised about the double elimination, but not really at the same time. My husband totally called it though.

Both of the bottom two looks were horrid, IMO. I also think that Dexter was much better in his mind than he really was.

Glad to see the mean girl go, and I was happy to see Cornelius win. I really liked his dress. I did like Mah-Jing looks a little better, but not sad that Cornelius won the challenge.

I liked the winning outfit for its simplicity. I'm not saying it was simple to design or make, just that it looked smart/clean/nice. I think the problem with most of the designers throughout the seasons is they are living in an artsy-fartsy world, and that they have no concept of the business world outside of the fashion business. When they have a challenge involving "power" attire, they should take them on a tour of an office building of lawyers/the financial world, for example, in NYC so they have an idea of the type of clothes those women wear to work.

I'd wear that dress too - it was amazingly pretty and practical and perfect for a professional office. Way to surprise us, Cornelius!

But maybe that's why it shouldn't have won. This wasn't a "ready to wear" challenge - it was the "editorial" challenge. So, .

Blond girl's dress was hideous, wasn't it?

Which is ridiculous for an editorial challenge.

Some interesting fashion last night.

Laurence: Agree that the top of the unconventional dress was fabulous, but the skirt - meh. Conventional - liked it a little but looked droopy or something (but I am one who looks really good in the mustard color.)

Roberi: Loved the conventional! UC was definitely UC.

Erin: So over her. Everything looks the same. Conventional - mixed.

Rik: Liked both, but didn't knock it out of the park.

Cornelius: UC - meh. Really liked the conventional.

Winner: Totally agree!!

Going home: I would have sent Erin home.

I'm glad Cornelius went home. He may become a good ready to wear designer, but he wasn't creative at all.

I'm glad Roberi made it to the end. I think some of his things have been nice, but ignored. And thank you for reminding me that Blond Girl's name is Erin. Have you noticed that her worst work was done when she was besties with bowl cut hair guy? She's creative, but erratic.

The only one of the remaining four who hasn't been all over the place this season is Laurence. If she starts doing other kinds of shoulders/sleeves in addition to her signature style, she has a good chance of winning.

I do love Project Runway!
