I have always supported allowing people to voice their opinion but how they choose to do it, like on Twitter, is not a right.
Also, they don't have a right to choose their consequences. Since the stakes are high, a person's livelihood, maybe they need to learn what to say publicly.

See that "mindless, angry mob"???
Those people scare me very much as well...

Don't try to make more of this than it is. It's a pretty simple situation.
Mel Gibson is back at work......

Mel Gibson went on 2 drunken rants (one with the cop, ranting about the jews and the other with his girlfriend hoping she gets raped by a pack of blacks but using the N word). Both were well publicized.

Will Ferrell, Mark Walhberg and Mel all working together:

Hulk Hogan was somewhat branded as a racist for using the N-bomb. He did it in a very similar way that Dog the Bounty Hunter did. He was.. Basically ticked off at his daughter and used the word in reference to a specific person. But, he was basically erased from history by WWE.. While Dog apologized profusely and pretty much escaped unscathed. Bruised, but not bloodied. Hogan is just now recovering and there's been talk of him returning, and this is 3 years later or so.

Michael Richards.. Wow.. There's like the classic example of what not to do and then how not to handle it. That whole Letterman appearance with Seinfeld.. Whoever came up with that idea should be blacklisted as well. Completely screwed up and he has not recovered from it. Though, one hell of a South Park episode came out of it.

There was an announcer for the OKC basketball team that blurted out "Cotton-picking" who was suspended for a game or two.. That one I felt was ridiculous.

Who else has been caught up in a racist rant/statement?
Hulk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_Hogan

He made the comment at age 61, how much wrestling did you think he had left in him?

Michael Richards was a one hit wonder (Seinfeld) so he had nothing going on before or after Seinfeld. The Kramer character was his typecast.

You did leave out Mel Gibson and he is back acting!

actually, they should not have taken her show off and fired her, it wasnt all the other cast mates fault, and her calling someone names or making fun of thier looks really has nothing to do with her "job performance"

really, so she called some chick an "ape"............really??,

to go to this extreme, and make all the other actors, producers, etc suffer, that was not fair.

Personally, I dont think it was that big a deal. someone got called a name, oh boo hoo hoo

look what all the people say and do to OUR President in our own country, that is shameful, as a nation were divided, and people make fun of the President of our country, the president!!! that is and should be unacceptable.

and because she called someone an ape? on twitter no less.

give me a break.

--------------------but then on the other side of the equasion, people in "such" positions really should keep thier mouths shut and keep thier comments to themselves,

and that INCLUDES our president "tweeting"....
