I watched it and thought it was overall good, but perhaps not great, as I felt that there were things in the case that should have been explored more but left out. I also didn't like the Kardashians singing that song, and thought it was really cringeworthy.
However, it was still a very informative and dramatic 10 episode story, and still pretty good. What do you think?
Well I mean you could say that for any movie based on a true story. Like why watch Titanic, when you can read about it, or why watch JFK, when you can read about it and watch the Zapruder film.
Or why watch Schindler's List when you can read the book it was based on. So I don't see the show as being not worth watching just cause everyone knows what happened.
I liked it. I didn't expect them to cover every aspect of the case, though.
I do think that Cuba Gooding was miscast as OJ. OJ had an imposing physical presence, and that was lacking in Gooding. He did do a good job reminding everyone of OJ's penchant for over-the-top ranting--for those of us who remember those 911 tapes.
Yeah I agree, they could have cast someone else. I was thinking maybe Denzel Washington, cause even though he is older than OJ was at the time, he still looks the same age. Maybe he would have been too much money but they got other celebrities to want to do it as well. I don't expect them to cover every aspect, but I feel some of the more important ones were left out.
Oh sorry, I should have done a search for it I guess.
What I meant was that there are multiple threads on other topics, all up at the same time. Politics and Controversies, for example, always has multiple threads on the same subject, started on the same day or within a couple of days.
The thread about People vs. O.J is from 2016, when the program first aired. So it's old, anyway LOL. There's nothing wrong with starting an updated one.
Yes, the other thread is old because people were making comments about the program when it originally aired, but the content of the show did not change. Just thought you might enjoy reading what many others had to say about the same topic.
