Watching this mystery on Acorn
8 episodes
Husband of main character (both attorneys) goes missing, leaving the law firm in big debt and questionable curcumstances

She was out on maternity leave and her husband got into trouble w/local criminals
The local DCI has long held grudge against Faith and is not someone you trust
It's complicated
It's gritty
It's infuriating -- but oh, so watchable
Her husband's parents are mixed into it
Her brother-in-law is a cop w/a messed up wife

Finding her husband is the least of her worries at times...
GREAT original music on top of superior acting of Eve Myles and others
Location shot in Wales
S2 is scheduled
Worth watching

If you get Acorn...I don't...you might be interested in A Place to Call Home.

It's a show from Australia that's close to a soap opera but not so "soapy"....

very clever, wonderfully acted. I see reruns on pbs...

Your show sounds interesting!

I watched the first 2 seasons maybe or 3 of Place Called Home
Know it is very popular
Was kind of boring to me
I thought the matriarch was interesting character because of how she sublimated her anger all those years and turned it all against Sarah
I liked Marta in the legal show she had while she was also doing Place Called Home
Janet Something...
That is on Acorn as well...

I enjoy both shows. Has anyone seen ITV's "Innocent"? I really liked this one and as it was only 4 episodes it didn't drag along.

For anyone British
How does DCI Williams hold such sway that she has no supervisor to stop all these oversteppings of the law

Just started this. Not entirely sold yet but I really like Eve Miles so I'll see how it goes.

It takes a while to develop and even after finishing it there are aspects that I take issue with
But maybe tht is because they knew there was S2 signed for

Different character for the woman who is detective on Hinderland...
