? Wasn't the first one about the first officer dating someone else (with the captn having issues) and Alara going on a blind date?
The second episode was Bortus.
Third - Alara.

The second episode was Bortus.
Third - Alara.
First ep was Bortus having to go home to pee, with the dating story as B.
Second ep was Bortus addicted to porn, with a B story I can't bring to mind.
Third ep was Alara, with a trivial B story wasting Patrick Warburton's talents and a need for suspension of disbelief up there with a Jonny Quest episode.

They're way behind first season quality, IMVHO, and I hope it's anomalous.

I am a little suprised that FOX cancelled Star and kept The Orville. Ratings seemed consistently higher for The Star.
