I like Melissa, but think she still uses too many words and tries too hard. It needs to come more natural. I'm thinking it could be painful to watch her for a half hour.

The judges were hard on Jeffrey (and rightfully so) for not spending all his budget. But I look at what the other two cooked, and don't see anywhere near $1,000 either. Short ribs and shrimp? Chicken, potatoes, vegetables, pastry crust? Am I wrong or have prices really gone up lately?

You're right. For that many people $1000 would have been enough for a large meal.

I'm so happy Debbie is gone! I literally heard "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" playing in my head when she was told she didn't make it to the next round. She got on my nerves so bad, I grit my teeth through her screen time!

Wonder if she'll get "guest appearances" on other FN shows.

That's interesting. Because I've heard people talk about Giada's first season and that she wasn't very comfortable and so easy with the instruction and personal aspect. I can pretty much pick out the original Giada episodes. Well that and her friends said her tops weren't so low back then!

Did anyone else think that Emeril being back on primetime (on Food net) seemed surreal? I hated to see his show go to another network.

I was sorta rooting for Debbie at first, but she did things (the Capers for one) that got under my skin.
