I voted no, but yes - I got more than a little verklempt at the end of Ryan's Hope's last episode, when Helen Gallagher as Maeve Ryan sings "Danny Boy" to Jack Fenelli and Leigh Kirkland at their wedding reception. As she finishes the song, she's trying not to cry, and then she says "Have a good life", and the shot freezes on Maeve's smile.

I still bawl like a baby every time I watch it.

The finale of Frasier. I had become very close to the characters, and goodbyes are hard.

Once I figured it out, and Jack came to the room, I just kept thinking don't leave the poor dog all alone....

I've watched the first season over after it was done, and it makes much more sense if you know how it comes out. Now that I have it all set up to marathon any show on netflix, it would be interesting....

I haven't seen a lot of the finales because I'm usually bored with the show before the last couple of seasons.

However, I've seen the entire series of Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Person of Interest, Newhart, Northern Exposure, Dexter, and a whole lot more not mentioned here, loved the series, and never cried at the endings.

The saddest I've ever been was the finale of Justified. I guess the finale itself wasn't that sad, but I liked Raylan and the show so much that I mourned the loss of never seeing him again for several days.

I can't remember crying over a series finale. I've been quite upset by series finales.

Dexter was by far one of the worst series finales ever. That whole last season just sucked. It made me angry.

Breaking Bad was a good series finale. I was so happy for Jessie in the end. Sad for Walts family, but not for Walt.

The series finale of Roswell made me sad I guess. I enjoyed the first two seasons and while I watched the last season, it wasn't my favorite. I do think they ended it properly for fans. It was a sad/happy ending, but I didn't cry.

I was definiteyl sad when Freaks and Geeks ended. I felt that we got screwed when they cancelled it after one season. The series finale wasn't sad, but I felt sad that we wouldn't get any more episodes. The way it ended left me feeling very unsatisfied. I still would love to know what happens when Lindsay and Kim get back from the Grateful Dead Tour. Does Nick move on finally? What happens with Daniel, Sam, Neil and Bill? So much I want to know.

Yep, Newhart's ending was amazing. Another show that had a similar finale was St Elsewhere.

In that show, the ending showed that the entire series had actually taken place in the mind of an autistic child.

That was deep. Anyone remember that finale?
