The original Brit Life on Mars was a great little series. It caught Britain in the 70s to a tee with a great soundtrack. The follow up series " Ashes to Ashes", set in the 80s, never really hit the spot for me though. Although having said that it`s certainly worth a look if you get the chance...

I liked it. It reminded me a little of Quantum Leap meets (that other show where the guy reads the newspaper everday trying to reverse the outcome and he has a cat..lol)
I like the 70's appeal to the show, but I don't like the smokey sort of looking color that is used... (I know it's not my tv) lol

I love Harvey Keitel. I understand that Sam Tyler is dazed and confused and heartbroken. However, if we spend the entire season of Tyler mourning his lost love, I am not going to be able to ride it out.

I agree! The second episode was fantastic. When he and Sam beat each other up in the hospital room, I was howling ... heck, even when they were chasing the banana hammock guy through the park ... Keitel & Imperioli ... the only reasons I'm watching, they are fantastic.

This show is growing on me every week! Last night's episode was amazing. Got a little choked up in the end.

I am confused by this show, but love how he tosses things out to the squad members and they look at him like he is crazy. loved how he told them the ending to soylent green. what a flashback that was for me. I remember seeing that movie at the theater! Looks like the preview for next week is going to be good too. he saw himself and his dad this week, next week..mom.

I loved it when Keitel cracked about gays in the military and what is going to happen next, they'll want to get married?? Also his disbelief about Rock Hudson!

Little hard to take the New cast when I was such a fan of the BBC version - and it was very well done.

The ABC show is definately being tastefully done in regards to the original. Well worth the time.

Kietel is awesome on this show but wasn't enough to keep me interested. I quit watching already, I didn't like the recent episode.
